Darynn Zimmer and Gabrielius Alekna will perform a grand program entitled, “La Bonne Chanson: Before You Vanish,” consisting of art songs and solo piano works by Fauré, Debussy, R. Schumann, Wolf, L. Laitman, Ricky Ian Gordon and Leonard Bernstein. The recital celebrates two centennial anniversaries: The death of Debussy and the birth of Bernstein. Two acclaimed living American composers’ works by Lori Laitman, of Lithuanian heritage, and Ricky Ian Gordon will be given European premieres.
